Architecture Computer Move-in

Here's a summary of the computer move-in process:

First, move your computer into your studio space. Then you should fill out a Computer Move-in form, and return it the AAA mailbox of Dennis Bishop, the new Architecture Instructional Computing Support person.

Note: This form needs to be submitted over again any time your computer is moved. Note also that you must not use an old IP number after moving your computer. The number may already be resued somewhere else, and duplicating it could cause serious network problems.
Once Dennis has received the form, you'll be added to the list of machines waiting for networking and new IP numbers. It currently seems to be taking about 24 hours to get networked from when your form is handed in.

You can get a paper copy of the Computer Move-in form by visiting Dennis in 204 Pacific Hall, or you can print a blank copy for yourself from the ClarisWorks file, which can be found on Architecture Forest at:

Architecture Support:Miscellaneous:Arch Comp Reg-960401.

If you have further questions, please contact Dennis Bishop, dbishop@darkwing.uoregon.edu.
