Tool Connections


We use three core applications for architectural graphics, Photoshop, PowerCADD, and DesignWorkshop. Using three key interchange formats, pixel PICT, object PICT, and DXF, many connections between the core applications are possible. The diagram below should help match up the right interchange format and application connection for various functional tasks.

By the way, this situation is expected to evolve significantly over the next few months under the positive influence of the 3DMF format from Apple Computer, Inc..
