Page Layout and Composition

While specialized groups in the department use Adobe Pagemaker and Quark Express for specialized document production and page layout purposes, we have found ClarisWorks, available native for the Power Macintosh, to be an excellent general purpose tool for presentation composition, assembly, and output.

ClarisWorks particularly shines in connection with our HP 650C DesignJet plotter, a PostScript equipped large-format color output device, that, in conjunction with ClarisWorks, PowerDraw, and DesignWorkshop, functions as a fast, full-color, D-size architectural networked "laser printer".
