One of the required sections could be done as a section-perspective, and this would count for one of the required interior perspectives. The cut face of the section-perspectives must still be to scale at 1/8"=1'-0" or 1/4"=1'-0".

primary vertical circulation/space could be shown in a roofs-removed birds-eye axonometric

study of direct sunlighting or experiential sequence in a QuickTime movie

Media Requirements

Relate your drawings to each other and to the reviewers reading sequence carefully.

Use of color is optional. Line weights and detail are more important for most projects than color. If you choose to color some drawings, keep the tones appropriate to the scale of the drawings, for instance by muting using Prismacolor on the back of vellum.

Don't make the board arrangement too long or too tall.

Please discuss optional work with Kevin before launching into it.

Orient all plans with north upwards (except in case of extreme benefit otherwise).

Feel free to reuse any of your existing materials if they are accurate and attractive.

Work in order of importance:

Substantially finish your master design model, leaving plenty of time for drawing and rendering

When drawing, finish your linework first, with line weights, and furnish plan drawings
then poche all plans and sections,
then title the individual drawings (unobtrusively)
and then render materials, add shadowing, vegetation, etc.

Drawings should be attached securely to boards for efficent review setup.

For basic identification, as always, discreetly label every board with your name, the date, and course.

Health

Take responsibility for your health. If you do not eat well or sleep sufficiently, you will not work well. Knowing how to take care of yourself is just as important as knowing how to move a mouse or pencil.

Remember

You are describing this building to people who have never seen it. Emphasize the main events, be complete and accurate, use good graphic language, and through these show your understanding of the spirit of the public library of the future, and of the spirit of place of Cottage Grove.

Get some sleep during the night before our Wednesday evening review.

Please get to the final review (Room 278-279) at least half an hour before the scheduled start time for arranging the room and hanging your projects.
